How To Heal Your Skin And Feel Sexy Doing It

Typically, we don’t feel sexy with a skin condition. We don’t feel sexy when we’re sick, and we don’t feel sexy when our body is doing things we haven’t told it to do. Skin struggles, allergies, gut issues, autoimmune issues, and fill in the blank issues, make us feel anything but sexy.

Despite these things being physical, a lot of how we experience this is through our mind — causing additional stress, pain, and anxiety — which is not conducive to healing or feeling sexy. So I assume, as you’re reading this, you’re not opposed to the idea of healing your skin and feeling sexy simultaneously. So here goes!

If you want to heal your skin and feel sexy doing it, you need to get out of your thinking mind and back into your feeling body.

There are many ways to do this, but I’m going to give you one. One that is natural, fun, free, and can be done in the comfort of your own home. Why? Because it has incredible healing capacity for the skin, gut, allergies, and hormones, just to name a few.

Side effects may also include reduced cravings, increased connection, joy and the list goes on and on. Here’s to the best skin treatment ever prescribed…

Orgasms! Yep. One a day will keep the doctor away. That’s the saying, right? Here’s why.

Orgasms reduce inflammation!

After you climax oxytocin is released. Oxytocin is not only a bliss hormone but a hormone that creates deeper connections, reduces systemic inflammation (particularly skin and intestinal inflammation), and increases peristalsis in the gut (1)! Meaning, orgasms are incredibly beneficial for people with food sensitivities, autoimmune disorders, and infections.

What this means for your skin is less visible inflammation including acne, and rashes like eczema, largely due to cortisol being flushed out of the body.

Orgasms enhance detoxification!

By reducing the stress hormone cortisol and boosting endorphins the body increases peristalsis in the gut, improving regularity (2) and promoting lymphatic drainage to enhance detoxification.

Enhancing detoxification through these pathways puts less pressure on your skin.

Orgasms help you get your beauty sleep

When you orgasm, you release prolactin, an endorphin that makes you sleepy. Which is possibly why so many women masturbate before bed. It actually gives you a more restful and restorative sleep!

Sleep is well documented as an essential for great skin.

When we get 8 hours sleep a night we have 45% fewer wrinkles, 13% fewer blemishes, and 8% less redness than when we are sleep deprived (6 hours a night), according to a UK study.

Is there anything an orgasm can’t do?

Orgasms promote healing

DHEA levels spike after you orgasm. This balances the immune system, further reducing inflammation. DHEA also promotes healthy skin and speeds up cell repair.

Healing is also sped up by improved circulation, and oxytocin, making orgasms a gift that keeps on giving.

Orgasms make you look younger

Orgasms promote healthy estrogen levels to keep skin supple and reduce dryness. Estrogen does this by increasing blood flow and the amount of water that reaches the skin. You’ve heard of afterglow, right? Well, it not only helps you look youthful, the increased blood flow also allows more nutrients to reach the skin. While the extra water improves complexion, increases elasticity and reduces fine lines.

Orgasms help balance your hormones

When we have shitty hormonal imbalances it often shows on our skin, but nothing a good orgasm can assist with.

The improved circulation that comes after an orgasm nourishes the reproductive organs, promotes healthy tissues and helps regulate your menstrual cycle. Orgasms also increase fertility (even if you’re not trying to conceive fertility is a sign of vitality), balance cravings, and emotions.

Hormonal imbalances also tend to make us less inclined to attempt climax because it can reduce libido. But because orgasms increase sex drive and help balance our hormones it’s worth a try even if you are struggling with sex drive

***

Orgasms make you feel sexy because they require you to get out of your head and into your body!!! Feeling sexy is not totally based on what you look like, it’s how you feel! Although, as we know, it does have a great effect on the looks department and is a positive force for the skin.

So if you did need another reason to orgasm, you now have seven!

I’ll leave you to it.

Xx Jess
