ABOUT

Jessica Anwyl -- in the raI used to be vital, healthy and have clear skin, but after contracting an infection I became susceptible to sickness and skin issues.

I thought simply eating a whole food plant based diet would be enough to fully heal, but didn’t understand about gut health and began to develop a skin condition.

Frustrated, thinking I was doing everything right, I went down the conventional path and took drugs to try and fix it. After they made matters much worse I then turned to alternatives, but ended up taking advice that made me worse AGAIN!  I felt completely alone, scared and unable to trust anyone (including myself).

My health got so bad I almost lost my life, and my skin got so ghastly, I couldn’t bear to look in the mirror. To look at me was described as “confronting”, so to say it was severe is a serious understatement. Nurses thought I was a burns survivor, strangers on the street gasped, stared or darted their eyes. At one point, I was unable to leave the house because even the slightest breeze would send me into a painful fit, and I couldn’t wet my face or the skin would wash away!!!

It wasn’t until I learned to strengthen my intuition – with both specialised knowledge and tuning into my body that my health significantly improved and my skin started to clear. This is why I started in the Ra — because I never want what happened to me to possibly happen to you too.

Here I teach you how to tap into your intuition by learning to love the skin you’re in and heal with whole foods. For tailored healing protocols book in with me here.

ABOUT IN THE RA

WHAT IS THE MEANING OF ALL THIS?

Jessica Anwyl About in the Ra☀️the ‘Ra’ comes from the Egyptian sun god; signifying life, warmth and growth.

🌱It also represents fresh-seasonal produce and going back to basics. It’s pronounced RAW (but I say Ra or roar like a lion 🐯) which is where it came from, but it didn’t always mean uncooked. It meant seasonal and fresh.

🤭The phrase ‘in the raw’ means naked, real and stripped bare. It’s about being vulnerable, shining a light on shame and creating real connection.  Which is why this is a space to share raw and real stories.

💁🏼‍♀️And lastly, ‘the Ra’ is also a new age term for women who are exotic and beautiful! Fitting right? 😉
